Randy Crawford and Joe Sample in Sydney

Soulful vocalist Randy Crawford has been wowing audiences for 3 decades. She teamed up with veteran keyboard player Joe Sample for one concert on Thursday 27 September 2007 at the Sydney Town Hall.
They played many of their hits including those from their collaboration album "Feeling Good" which has received rave reviews. Joe was a member of the group The Crusaders.  In 1977 Randy Crawford recorded that great hit "Street Life" with the group. Joe started the concert with some old and new tracks.

A highlight was "X Marks The Spot" from "The Pecan Tree". For a man aged 68 Joe played like someone half his age. As for Randy, well she sounded as sweet as she did 30 years ago. She thrilled the audience with
many of her hits and for an encore sang "Almas". The pair received an enthusiastic standing ovation.

George Benson and Al Jarreau In Concert

Smooth jazz legends George BENSON and Al JARREAU came to Sydney
for a concert to promotetheir new CD "Givin' It Up". This is the first time
these two have combined to record an album. Among many of the
memorable tracks are Al's vocal version of the great George Benson hit
"Breezin" and the background vocalising of Al behind George on Al's great
hit " Mornin' ". The concert was on Wednesday March 28th at the Sydney
Entertainment Centre. A second concert was held on Thursday March 29th.
George and Al recently won 2 Grammys forthis CD for " Mornin' " and
"God Bless The Child".  A few of us from 2CCR-FM attended these concerts and were blown away with the talent of these two legends.
